In-Person and Online Appointments

Have a new or nagging injury? Find out what’s going on and get back to climbing ASAP! I’ve worked extensively with climbers and offer a unique perspective compared to most medical offices. I can understand your injury from a deeper level and will help create a program to get you back to climbing ASAP!

During our evaluation, we will:

  • Sit down and discuss the background and cause of your injury

  • Evaluate both physical and mental components of it

  • Provide education on our findings along with a detailed report

  • Provide a treatment plan including access to a Home Exercise Program (MedBridge) which provides videos and explanations on exercises or stretches

  • Realtime Ultrasound is available for imaging at no extra cost!

  • In-person strength assessment using the Tindeq Progressor is also available!

Training Plans

The unique demands that climbing places on our body can make training a difficult and confusing process. Add an injury on top of that, and you can find yourself lost in a sea of climbing forums and advice that you’re not sure will apply to you.

Worry not, we’re here to help! As part of your recovery process you will be given a personalized exercise program with tailored training techniques to help you heal, strengthen, and fortify from future injury.

Training Plans are specifically meant for:

a) someone who has had an injury in the past and wants a training plan to help prevent it from happening again

b) wants to focus on injury prevention

c) are currently injury free and hoping to stay that way

If those don’t apply to you, and you’re looking more specifically for coaching, please visit Dan Beall’s site

Follow-Ups

My goal with your initial evaluation is to provide as complete as a program as possible for your full recovery. But, that is not going to happen 100% of the time. Fortunately, follow-up in-person or online appointments may be made after your initial appointment. The goal of the follow-up would be to:

  • Evaluate initial progress and advance programs

  • Fine tune your rehab program for maximal benefit

  • Re-evaluate strength or perform a follow-up ultrasound examination

  • Provide treatment as appropriate (if in-person).

Ultrasound and Strength Evaluations!

One of my absolute favorite and game changing tools is use of real time ultrasound. This can make a more complicated injury quite simple by simply visualizing the tissue. Suspicious of flexor tenosynovitis but can’t tell if it was a pulley injury? Ultrasound can diagnose that in a second! Curious if your pulley is just strained or torn? Once again, that detail can be made instantly with ultrasound.

On top of that, I also offer in depth strength assessments by use of the Tindeq progressor. This will allow us to accurately identify any strength discrepancies between the affected and unaffected sides. It will also help tell us how significant the injury is based on the discrepancy.

If you’re interested in both an ultrasound and strength assessment, be sure to select the correct appointment type below.
